Percy™ is a pitching tool that lets you dose dry brewing yeast directly and hygienically straight from the 500 g and 2.5 kg packs. The tool pierces the sterile target disc on the pack and channels the yeast through the hollow handle into your fermentation vessel. This reduces the risk of cross-contamination during pitching. Percy™ was developed for breweries working with Fermentis dry yeast in these packs.

You use the tool at the moment you dose the yeast directly into the fermenter, after production and before inoculation.

Percy™ has a hollow tip and a hollow handle. You pierce the vacuum-sealed pack through the sterile target disc area, and the tip stays attached to the sticker. When you invert the pack together with the tool, Percy™ stays firmly in place and the yeast flows through the handle straight into your fermentation vessel. This lets you dose without fully opening the pack and without exposing the yeast to ambient air.
